Hi everyone, I hope all is well. If possible, please make your donation forOdilia's sponsorship so that we will not get behind. A new database on the Yahoo group for the year 2012 has been created. Please record your payment when you have made it or please sign up for a month.

I just wanted to remind everyone of the First Giving Page that we have set upto try to complete Odilia's fundraiser for home repairs. So far we have $48.00and the goal is $500.00.

Dear Sponsor Shana,

Let me tell you that we are healthy, thank God. I really hope this letter finds you well, too.Thank you very much for thinking of me. I wish the best for you and your family. I am attending school learning many things. I like toparticipate in many activities. Let me tell you that I am attending 6th grade. Iwill attend 7th grade soon. I am learning how to say the numbers in English. Myteacher knows this language. I am learning about divisions in my Math course. My teacher asks us about the multiplication tables. My family is doing well. I like to take care of my nieces. I like to play soccer with them. Let me tell you that we are ready to start our third unit. The school year ends in October and then we are going to have a school break. Christmas time is cold. I like to tell you about my experiences at school.

Trip Update

Macky had a nice trip with Odlilia and the other children that she visited. Photos of gifts that Odilia received from her sponsors are located on the Yahoo group in the Photos Section. I will post some here also and there are also photos of the trip posted in LiftOne. I can't copy those photos but maybe Mack will post some here on the blog. I am glad that the girls had a great time!

A Package

Anxiously waiting for more from Sponsor Mack but in the meantime, Debbie has emailed me to say that there is a package for Odilia that was sent by one of her sponsors (someone who also sponsors Magda) and there is a postage amount due for $11.92. So if you sent this package for Odilia and would like to pay the amount to have the package sent to Odilia, please contact Debbie. She says that the longer it sits at the post office, the greater the fee becomes. Thanks!!

Thursday, Sept. 1

Hello, sponsors of Odilia and Magda!

Soon, I will be in Antigua, Guatemala spending the day with our girls.
I've been staying at a resort in Orlando for the past week (Don't ask me why. It's complicated.).

My friend and fellow CI sponsor, Sam, came down here to "play" for a few days. We went horseback riding, took a Segway tour, and snorkeled with manatees.

Now, I'm just sitting here with a poor Internet connection, killing time. I play bingo by the pool and make tye-dye shirts. Boring. Tomorrow, I will be joining another friend at another FL resort on Captiva Island. On Sunday night, I will FINALLY fly to Central America.

News

Sponsor Mack plans to visit Odilia along with two other children the second week in Sept. This should be such an exciting trip! Odilia also received a pretty locket from Lori and today I received a letter from Odilia. I will scan and post the letter soon. It looks like the rainy season has started but hopefully we can raise funds for the completion of the roof and walls in the near future.

This week I will post photos of the new SNG photos we have of Odilia's home repairs. They sent 10 photos in all. Her dad constructed walls and made a cement floor to replace the dirt floor. Odilia looks very happy in the photos. Thank you sponsors for making a difference!

Funds for the Roof Have Been Raised!

Odilia's second letter to the group came today :) She writes everyone's name except for our last two sponsors who just came on board (Macky and Gwyn). Macky and Gwyn, be sure to send her a photo of yourself so that she can add it to the group album of photos!
